About Me
Hi, I’m Bart, a tattoo artist originally from Poland, now working in Florida.
I specialize in realism, color realism, and black & grey, with a particular passion for animals, botanicals, and custom-designed tattoos. My approach combines realistic reference work with careful composition, contrast, and detail to create tattoos that feel personal rather than generic.
Before moving to the United States, I ran my own tattoo studio in Poland. Today, I continue to bring that European experience and attention to precision into every project I create.
For me, tattooing is not about simply placing an image on the skin. A successful tattoo should work with the body, make sense visually, and remain strong as it heals and ages. I pay particular attention to composition, placement, contrast, and the amount of detail appropriate for the size and location of each tattoo.
Every project is approached individually. Whether it is a realistic animal, a botanical piece, a meaningful portrait, or a larger custom composition, I take the time to understand what the tattoo means to you and translate that idea into a design that works as a tattoo.
My Approach
I believe the best tattoos come from a combination of your story and my artistic experience.
You bring the idea, meaning, memories, or references. I bring the artistic interpretation, technical knowledge, and experience needed to turn those elements into a tattoo.
I don’t simply reproduce reference photographs. I select and combine references, adjust composition, simplify or emphasize details when necessary, and design the piece specifically for your body.
My goal is to create work that looks impressive when it is fresh, but is designed with the future of the tattoo in mind.
Custom Tattoo Sessions
Custom Projects
Most of my work is custom and designed specifically for each client.
Pricing depends on the size, placement, complexity, and amount of time required to complete the tattoo.
For larger projects, I prefer working through dedicated tattoo sessions rather than rushing the work into a single appointment. This allows enough time to maintain the quality and precision that my work requires.
Current rate: $180-200/h
Full-day session: $ 1100-1500
A deposit of $300 is required to secure your appointment and is applied toward the final price of the tattoo.
Larger Projects
For sleeves, large leg pieces, back pieces, and other extensive projects, the total number of sessions depends on the design, size, placement, skin, and how the tattoo heals.
Rather than forcing every project into a predetermined number of appointments, I evaluate each project individually and plan the sessions according to what will produce the best result.
The Session Experience
My priority during a tattoo session is the tattoo itself.
Before your appointment, we discuss the concept, placement, size, and references so that the direction of the project is clear. On the day of the appointment, the focus is on creating the tattoo to the highest possible standard.
I work carefully and deliberately rather than rushing through a session simply to finish faster.
Depending on the project, sessions may include breaks for comfort and recovery. Larger tattoos are approached in stages when necessary to allow the skin to recover properly and to maintain the quality of the finished work.
Tattoo Design Process
The process begins with your idea.
You don’t need to know exactly what the final tattoo should look like. You can bring me a concept, a story, several references, photographs, or simply an idea of what you like.
From there, I develop the artistic direction of the tattoo.
I carefully consider:
- composition and placement
- body anatomy and movement
- realism and proportions
- contrast and readability
- color balance, when applicable
- the appropriate level of detail
- how the tattoo will age over time
For custom projects, I want enough creative freedom to do what I believe will produce the strongest tattoo.
My role is not only to execute your idea, but to help you make the right artistic decisions.
What I Tattoo
My main areas of focus include:
Realism
Detailed, natural-looking tattoos built around strong references, composition, and realistic values.
Color Realism
Realistic imagery combined with carefully controlled color, contrast, and saturation.
Black & Grey
Clean, dimensional black-and-grey work with an emphasis on realistic shading and readability.
Animals & Wildlife
One of my favorite subjects, from domestic animals to wildlife and highly detailed animal portraits.
Botanicals
Flowers, plants, and natural elements designed with realistic structure and balanced composition.
Custom Concepts
Personal projects that combine multiple elements, references, symbolism, text, objects, or storytelling into one cohesive tattoo.
Why Work With Bart?
I approach tattooing as a craft that requires both artistic ability and technical discipline.
My experience working in Poland and the United States has shaped the way I approach clients and custom projects. I value precision, preparation, communication, and attention to detail.
I don’t want to create a tattoo that simply looks good in a photograph immediately after the session. I want to create a piece that remains visually strong as it becomes part of your skin and your story.
Every tattoo receives my personal attention from the initial concept through the finished piece.
If you have an idea for a tattoo and want to create something truly custom, send me your concept, references, approximate size, and placement.
Let’s create something worth wearing for a lifetime.
FAQ
A little preparation can make your tattoo session much more comfortable and help your body handle the process better.
The day before and the day of your appointment
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- Get a good night’s sleep.
- Eat a proper meal before your session. A balanced meal with protein and carbohydrates is ideal.
- Stay well hydrated throughout the day.
- Arrive on time and ready for your appointment.
Please do not take aspirin or other blood-thinning medications solely to prepare for a tattoo. Some medications can increase bleeding. However, never stop a prescribed medication without speaking with your doctor first.
Your skin
Do not tan or get sunburned before your appointment. Recently sunburned or damaged skin cannot be tattooed safely and may require your appointment to be rescheduled.
Keeping your skin moisturized in the days leading up to your appointment is helpful, especially if your skin is naturally dry. However, do not apply lotion immediately before your appointment.
What should I wear?
Wear clean, comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
Avoid wearing your favorite clothes. Tattooing can involve ink, stencil solution, ointment, and other products that may stain clothing.
For larger tattoos, especially on the arm or leg, consider clothing that can be easily moved or adjusted without restricting your movement.
Can I bring someone with me?
Please arrive alone unless we have agreed otherwise in advance.
For safety, hygiene, and space considerations, children should not be brought into the tattoo area.
What should I bring?
Bring:
- a good attitude
- water
- headphones or something to listen to
- something to read or watch, if you wish
For longer sessions, feel free to bring a snack.
Pamiętaj, że tatuaże są dla osób pełnoletnich, dlatego obecność dzieci w studiu jest niewskazana.
Zadbaj o to, by Twoja skóra była blada. Skóra będzie miękka i łatwiejsza w tatuowaniu.
A tattoo is an open wound, and proper aftercare is an important part of achieving the best possible result.
Most tattoos take approximately 3–5 weeks to heal on the surface, although deeper healing can take longer. Healing time varies depending on the size and placement of the tattoo, your skin, and your individual healing process.
Even a professionally executed tattoo can lose quality if it is not properly cared for during healing.
Immediately after your session
Your tattoo will be cleaned and covered with an appropriate protective dressing before you leave.
Follow the specific instructions I give you at the end of your appointment, as aftercare may vary depending on the dressing used and the tattoo itself.
If you are wearing a Second Skin-style bandage
Keep the bandage on for the amount of time recommended for the specific product and your tattoo.
If the bandage becomes excessively loose, leaks, or allows outside contamination underneath it, remove or replace it according to the instructions provided.
Do not forcibly pull the bandage off dry. Removing it under warm running water or in the shower can make the process easier.
Cleaning your tattoo
Once you are instructed to remove the protective dressing:
- Wash your hands thoroughly.
- Gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap.
- Do not scrub the tattoo with a sponge, washcloth, or exfoliating product.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel.
- Allow the skin to dry completely before applying aftercare lotion.
Do not soak your tattoo in water.
Moisturizing
Once instructed to begin moisturizing, apply a very thin layer of a suitable, fragrance-free tattoo aftercare product or moisturizer.
More product is not better. The skin should not remain greasy or heavily coated.
During the healing process
- Do not scratch or pick at the tattoo.
- Avoid clothing that repeatedly rubs against the tattoo.
- Keep the tattoo clean.
- Do not soak the tattoo in a bath, swimming pool, hot tub, or natural body of water while it is healing.
- Avoid saunas and excessive sweating while the tattoo is healing.
- Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight.
- Do not apply sunscreen to an open or actively healing tattoo. Once fully healed, always protect your tattoo from the sun with a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
Some redness, tenderness, swelling, peeling, itching, and small amounts of clear fluid can occur during normal healing.
Do not pick at peeling skin or scabs.
If you notice symptoms that concern you, especially increasing redness, severe swelling, worsening pain, significant drainage, fever, or other signs of infection, seek appropriate medical attention.
If you have questions about how your tattoo is healing, contact me rather than guessing.
Important
Your tattoo is your responsibility after you leave the studio. Following the aftercare instructions carefully will give your skin the best possible environment to heal properly.
Start with what the tattoo means to you.
Photos, illustrations, paintings, sketches, and other visual references can all be useful when developing an idea.
I strongly recommend looking beyond generic catalog designs and focusing on something that feels personal to you.
You do not need to arrive with a finished design.
You can bring me:
- a general idea
- photographs
- several different references
- a subject you want to tattoo
- a story or personal meaning
- examples of tattoos you like
From there, we can develop the concept together.
Why custom?
I do not simply copy other artists’ tattoos.
My goal is to create a tattoo specifically for you, taking into consideration the subject, composition, placement, proportions, contrast, and how the design will work on your body.
If I tell you that something should be changed or that a particular idea will not work well as a tattoo, it is not because I do not want to do it.
It is because I want the best possible final result.
You are trusting me with something permanent. My responsibility is to be honest about what will and will not work.
For custom projects, I generally do not send the finished tattoo design days in advance.
The design process depends on the project and may be completed shortly before the appointment or finalized as part of the first session.
Your references and detailed information are extremely helpful during this process.
If you have photographs or other visual references, send them when submitting your tattoo request.
I also understand that you may want to discuss or adjust certain details when you see the design.
Reasonable adjustments can be discussed before we begin tattooing. However, major changes to an agreed concept at the last minute may require rescheduling.
The goal is always the same: to create the strongest tattoo possible, not simply to reproduce the first idea exactly as it was submitted.
A deposit is required to reserve your appointment.
When you book a tattoo session, that time is reserved exclusively for you. The deposit protects the appointment and compensates for the time that becomes unavailable to other clients.
Deposits are non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be transferred to a new appointment when sufficient notice is provided, according to my rescheduling policy.
For multi-session projects, the deposit will be applied toward the tattoo cost as agreed when the project is booked.
If an appointment is canceled or rescheduled without sufficient notice, the deposit may be forfeited.
Full deposit and cancellation terms are provided at the time of booking.
Yes. I consider cover-ups on a case-by-case basis.
A good cover-up requires careful planning because the existing tattoo becomes part of the new design.
Before deciding whether I can take on a cover-up, I need to see:
- a clear photograph of the existing tattoo
- the tattoo in good, even lighting
- its size and location
- any ideas you have for the new piece
In some cases, an in-person consultation may be necessary.
Keep in mind that a cover-up usually needs to be larger and strategically designed around the existing tattoo. Darker areas can limit what can realistically be placed over them.
Depending on the original tattoo, several sessions may be necessary.
In some cases, partial laser tattoo removal may be recommended before starting the cover-up. This can create more options for the new design.
A cover-up is not simply a matter of placing a new image over an old one. It requires a design specifically engineered to work with what is already there.
My priority is to be honest with you about what is realistically possible before we start.
HAVE AN IDEA?
Send me your idea, references, approximate size, and placement.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
I’ll help you turn the idea into a tattoo that works on your body and is worth wearing for a lifetime.
